there is should be a picture on the fan shroud that tells you how the serpentine belt runs. you are also probably gong to have to loosen the pivot bolts to get it on b/c new belts are tighter than worn in ones. what year & engine do you have? does it have a/c, power steering, and a manual tranny?

im curious about this too.

does your jeep have A/C?

this is all i could gather googling it and searching for it - if it has ac, the tensioner should be on the alternator. if theres no a/c it should be on the power steering pump.

thats pretty much all the info i could gather.

i tried to change the belt on mine and it was a pain. i gave up, because i had alot of repairs to do on my tj.

the new belt is actually sitting in my garage still lol.

all i could find as far as a tutorial is to loosen a hella bunch of bolts and i guess pry the tensioner if its stuck.

its not an automatic tensioner.

so yeah anyone willing to point us in the direction of a good how to with pics, or at least give us a good explanation..

thanks!

mines a 4cyl no a/c

On the YJ without AC it's the power steering pump. Look at the PS pump bracket and all but one bolt face the fan. The one that faces the block has a slot it rides in. That's the adjuster. You'll need to loosen a couple to get the pump to swing.
