Help needed in finding paint –Oilve green (Drab)

Well, after much confusion and consideration I decided to paint my Jeep olive green (rather olive drab-more like this site’s paint theme). I read quite a bit about driveway painting, prep, rattle can paint etc. The color that I want is dark green (olive green) like the military. I stopped by lowes and picked up a rattle-can (olive green) satin finish and decided to experiment with one panel. After everything is said and done this green looks very light. Does anyone here know where to find military green paint? Preferably rattle can olive drab?

That's how I decided to paint mine. But Lowes does not carry the paint that he mentioned or I got it all wrong, Olive green with satin finish... it's not dark enough. I asked my colleague to take a second opinion and he mentioned that it's too light as well. Kargens, Pepboys have no color option ( in rattle can dept) that is even close to drab....

I have 30 gal compressor but my problem is I cannot prepare the entire Jeep in one go. I use it as a daily driver and prefer to work on one panel at a time...

besides painting with a gun in a small garage in an apartment might attract unwanted attention. If nothing else works out, I will take this road....

i guess but ur still going to have to do prep work to what ever u decide to paint. even if its just one panel at a time. witch i dont think u will like doing one panel at a time. if u have the compressor and the gun just take a weekend and start early but its up to u.

you can go to any military surplus store or website and find it. either that or go to a Willy's Jeep website and you can find it. if your color came up light chances are it needs a clear coat sprayed over it to bring out the color. worth a shot
