HELP. Ok to wirebrush and repaint?

I want to take off my seat mounts, soft top frame, and other such items, scrub them down, wirebrush the crap paint off, and re-paint them. Is that alright, and will good old rustoleum do the trick, or should I do something else? I am replacing all the old hardware, nuts and bolts interior, with some stainless stuff, and then herculining the bed. sound like a good plan?

why repaint it if you're just going to herculie it?

You can herculine the exterior if you want?

If you're gonna use Rustoleum. Use the Rustoleum Professional.
