Help with buying a YJ!

Hey guys Im new here and looking to buy my first jeep. Im looking at a few different YJ's. One of the jeeps I found today is a 1995 SE on 38's. I tried contacting the dealer, and I didn't receive an answer. The ad doesn't say much about the jeep besides it having 135k and on 38's lol. So I'm just wondering if there's anything you guys can pick up on from the pictures of whats going on with jeep. And if you guys think its a good buy. The dealer has it priced at 5,999. Its about a 2 hour drive from me, so if anyone can tell just by looking that its not built right that would be greatly appreciated. Also I plan on painting over the jeep with a bed liner, I don't like the color at all lol. Thanks alot guys, and thanks for looking!

38's are big tires but the 6cyl should have enough power to move those. it looks really clean from what i can tell under the fenders and inside and even the suspension from what i can tell which is good. not much else i can help with just from pics. i like the full doors on it. take it for a test drive. looks good though

Those don't look like 38" tires. It still has SUA. Here is a YJ on 38" Those look like maybe 33"-35" Tires!

I would also ask if the axles have been swapped or at the least re geared to handle big tires. Was this thing a mall crawler? Trail rig?

I looks like it has a 4in sup lift and about 3in in a body lift. Buy closer to stockish and build it up yourself is the best way. Who knows what yahoo did the work on that rig or if corners were cut etc. Look at private sellers and use the money you save from not buying from a stealership to get some parts.

Saw you were from PA so I used Phili as a craigslist search.

Wow, that's a nice find BDK. Wish I could have a found a deal like that in Minneapolis.

tmcd94, pickup that YJ BDK found, and you save $3,000 for parts, upgrades and gas.

I've been eyeing up that one for a while. He keeps lowering the price on it. I'm not sure why no one has bought it yet.

Too bad I already have a 93 (which I paid too much for)...
