hi guys

I'm having a electrical problem first my ignition switch (starter switch under steering column) was acting up it will crank the engine in an odd position and don't stop when turning off I had to disconnect the battery for the engine to stop cranking there was no spark so the engine never started
Then I went ahead and place a cable from the battery positive to coil positive so the engine fired right up But the starter kept going so I disconnect the battery to stopped
So I remove the ignition switch mi plan was to hotwire the jeep so again place a cable from battery positive to coil positive anb it cranks switch it's completely off please help I'm not electrical inclined but I give it a try thanks in advance

most likely either the wire from your ignition switch to the start solenoid is staying hot all the time or else the starter solenoid is stuck ..you could take the wire off and see if it still trys to crank..if it does not then the switch is probably bad..if it does then the solenoid is bad
