high lift jack

I just bought a high lift jack and was wondering if anyone has mounted it on the rear bumper. I don't have bumperetts. it appears that the bumper is actually part of the frame......how do I install it on the back.

sounds like you don't have a rear bumper at all....just the rear frame cross member.......so you'd have to install a bumper 1st then decide how to mount the hilift. If not having a bumper is OK with you, you could get some long lag bolts/carraige bolts and slide them from the inside-out, secure it with a nut, then slip the hilift over and secure with washers and wing nuts.

There is a hilift universal mount available in just about any mag, just mount to any flat surface.

hilift will take a beating outside the jeep though...... I mounted mine standing straight up behind the passenger seat, got some metal fence tension clamps, carriage bolts and wing nuts holding it to the vertical roll bar.

Here is how I mounted mine...

2 - 2 1/2 inch muffler clamps
2 - 4 inch pieces of angle channel
2 - 3/8 inch bolts with nuts and lock washers
1 - can of Rustoleum bare metal primer
1 - can of Chrysler red engine paint.
1 - cable bicycle lock

The rest you can figure out from the picture.
