homebrew yj stuff

I just got some new tools and im looking to do some homemade mods to the Yj.what's some good stuff that you have made or done at home.

Rock sliders/steps, bumpers, brackets, new fuel filter skid, cb bracket.

I've made all my own stuff. I like my cb overhead but it's a uniden 500 xl. Very small.

How did you mount yours over head? i have a very small one also, i was thinking mabye in the side pocket on the center unit, can you post pics and also pics of how you wired it?

I made my own bracket that bolts up to the factory spot where there is a tie hoop for my bikini top.

I ran the power wires thru the frame. Drilled hole close and grommet'd it. fished thru the frame with another hole drilled low on the passenger side close to the speaker. Drilled and grommeted a hole on the speaker grill to get it under the dash. Then grommeted hole under the hood to fuse panel.

The anntenna wire runs on the surface for now. Someday I will run it thru the frame too. It follows abve the passneger visor, down the passneger side roll cage out the back.

I also used some rc car battery quick discos to take it out when i want and tranfer it to my truck.

I found a couple of old 50 cal cans I got at my last duty station. Im thinking of a under the hood dump box or tool box.anyone done anything with them before?
