How BIG of tires can i fit?

I decided that i want to keep my 87' ( i change my mind to much)

Its completely stock, besides a new carb (holley). I was wondering how big of tires can i fit without any clearence issues.

I'm planning on doing, just cheap steel rims, but I dont know what kind of tire to look into yet. any suggestion? reasonable price range

30" GoodYear MT/R's should fit with the right backspacing; good rock tire that has excellent road manners and a tough sidewall.

ProComp or BFGoodRich MTs (they're both nearly identical) ride a tad rougher, but do better in wetter wheeling conditions.
