I cant decide what size tires i need

I just got a 1988 Jeep wrangler last month. It has 31in Wrangler authorities with no lift. I am considering putting a 4in suspension lift but i dont know how that will look with the 31s. Any suggestions?

33s fit a 4" lift just about perfect for actual wheeling.....but you'll probably want a regear too, if you are running stock ratios.

That would be the 'want' part of the equation.

You don't mind them now, but you might mind them with 33s.

Sorry - lost track of who said what. I thought Tyler said he didn't mind the stock gearing.

I have 33s and a 4.88 rear and it feels like it was made to be that way. Now if my front axle didn't have a 4.10, I'd be all set! Having the front rebuilt to match the rear later this week.

are you scraping bottom on an obstical somewhere? hence the need for a lift?

heehee...

I'd go with 4" 33". Totally pleased w/mine. I also used a -22 offset rim to kick 'em out a little wider for a wider stance.
