Here's some more. I just finished it this morning. Took me 3 hours approximately.. Lots of sun, sweat and pain here and there. But it's well worth it. NEw speakers (even smaller) are a huge improvement over the stock ones. Sound is crispier and razor sharp.

So here it goes..

Oh and btw.. I HATE TORX HEAD!

New vs. Stock

1

Stock connector. I used it on new speakers

New grill fabric. The old one remains on the old speakers. Thought of ditching it but then again it provides some protection weatherwise..

This is how it looks without. I didn't like it.. So the fabric is applied. Sound is a bit less crisp than without but hey.. It's a jeep..

About an inch or so. It is waterproof so I guess it can handle the rain in the future..

cause they aren't 6x9's they are 4x6's so you get better quality out of the round 4 inch speaker than from an oval 4 inch speaker

I had them and didn't want to spend more money until I see if it's worth it.
Well, it's worth it. But then again -- it won't cross my mind to repeat this procedure again. Not until the next summer at least..
