Hey guys...Im planning on getting the sky-jacker dual steering stabilizer kit. Right now my jeep has a 4' suspension lift and a 1' shacke lift and 33 inch tires. Im just wondering if it will do any harm if i put on the dual stabilizer as opposed to the single. I like the way the dual looks on jeeps so if it wont do any damage i would like to get the dual kit. If worst comes to worst ill settle for the single stabilizer
If you actually NEED the dual stabilizers - that just means you have some serious suspension, steering, or alignment problems. Ideally - you want your Jeep to handle well without any stabilizer, it should only be added in after that to prevent the Jeep from tracking/pulling funny on uneven road surfaces.
But if you still want one for non-mechanical reasons - yah go for it if you want. TJ and YJ steering is slightly different - it probably won't work if it's a TJ specific kit (but you never know, it might)
I put a Trailmaster on my YJ, it had been purchased for use on a TJ. It does not mount in Stock location, it has a bracket that attaches to the Frame and then one on the drag link, So I left my Stock one in place.........now I have Dual.......sort of.
