Just Picked up the New YJ!

Just wanted to share her here! We just went and picked her up this morning and now I can't wait to start ordering stuff haha!

Our first move will be taking out the roll cage and the seat brackets and prepping them to reseal and repaint black... hopefully this weekend then this summer I'll spend time prepping her and doing a new paint job on her! Hope my pockets can handle it! lol!!

Thanks y'all! And yes the Jeep wave is a must! Haha my husband has the CJ7 in the background and whenever we go anywhere he gets let down when other Jeepers don't wave back haha! We have a friend who use to have an XJ and he'd always complain about people not waving back so we made him decals that said #XJSMATTER lol!!

Starting small and wire wheeling all the seat brackets getting them sealed with primer and a black semi gloss... hopefully getting to the front ones this weekend but he will have to do those since I'll be working all weekend... after those are done we will be pulling out the roll cage and getting it refinished...

Side note... Does anybody know what these are called? I am thinking about ordering new ones but when I search for brackets the main hardware is all I can seem to find...

Where is that bracket in the lower picture located? Is it on the seat frame or the body tub? (Saying it's on the vise is accurate, but that's not what I'm looking for here. LOL)

I would send those front seat brackets to be sandblasted.

The bracket on the vice is "Bracket, rear seat back lock striker".

MudMagnetYJ has a link to several Factory Service Manuals in his signature. I got the above info from the parts manual he has in his signature.

We always need to remember to thank MM for providing this valuable service.

Good Luck, L.M.

Yeah after talking we were thinking sandblasting would be best but I will have to check around for pricing... The brackets are the ones for the backseat that are bolted to the tub... thanks for all the information!!! Just ordered Raptor Liner to redo the inside of the tub!
