Question Lift/Pitman Arm

At what point of lift is it generally necessary to replace the pitman arm with a dropped arm? I've added lift shackles (about an inch) and will be rebuilding the spring packs soon. I doubt the final lift will total more than 2-1/2, maybe 3 inches... I don't need to go any higher and I sure don't want to have to mess with driveline angle issues if I can avoid it.

Is it best to simply replace the arm now or should I only address steering issues as they arise?

For that small of lift amount you won't need a drop pitman arm.

X2...........you usually don't have to worry about that until you get 4" or more on your lift. And with the lift your talking about, you should not have to worry about driveline vibes. If you do get some........just shim the skid plate down a little with washers. That is the easiest fix.

Good luck with your lift.......your going to like it!!!!!!!!
