At what point of lift is it generally necessary to replace the pitman arm with a dropped arm? I've added lift shackles (about an inch) and will be rebuilding the spring packs soon. I doubt the final lift will total more than 2-1/2, maybe 3 inches... I don't need to go any higher and I sure don't want to have to mess with driveline angle issues if I can avoid it.
Is it best to simply replace the arm now or should I only address steering issues as they arise?
