lifted?

Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone could tell me if my jeep has been lowered or if its just sagging. I'm not big at all on the short, squat look of it and am trying to figure out the best way to change the look of it. The tires are 235/75(?) R 15 Bridgestone Dueler ATs.

thats the same size tire i have on mine and it looks to be about the same height as mine.

that is stock height. no lift in it.

I guess thats what I get for posting at 1am after a long day at work. The title of the thread should have been 'lowered and/or sagging?' or something along those lines. Anyways, thanks for the help folks. If I'm trying to get rid of the low, squat look obviously I'm going to need to lift it (however I'm thinking those rims may have something to do with it. They seem to be deeper than the stock rims, meaning where it mounts up against the hub is deeper in the tire). Anyways, given that the vehicle is a DD and only occasionally taken off road, would a 3" body lift suffice? Thanks again for the input folks, its appreciated.

I wouldn't go with a body lift
I doubt you would be happy in the long run and body lifts are kinda sissy.. No offense. Hope none taken... Just personal opionion. Go with full suspension lift.. Eventually your suspension will have to be replaced anyways. Why not jack her up a few inches a head of time? That's what I did on my yj.
When I got into changing it I realized my suspension was close to needing changed anyways... The same might happen to you..

i think the dish on your wheels is about right. atleast to me. it looks like the stick out about an 1" to 2" or so...

A. I would not add a body lift over 1" tall.
b. I would not even want to add a body lift to a Jeep of your vintage(no newer than 1991?)
as the amount of rust and risk of body bolt issues would show up in some form.

c. I just put a 4" rough country on mine YJ, same cost as the smaller 2.5" lift, and cost under 500 bucks. Over all rides okay, wheels good. Still had to deal with rusty bolts but not near the level of problems as body mounts might dish up.

I had not considered the rusty bolt issues with doing the body lift. My concern with a suspension lift is primarily the price. A 2 to 3" body lift is only ~$200 where-as a 2.5" suspension lift with all the required extras is ~$1200. Out of curiosity, what are the concerns about a 3" body lift? I'm only looking for a few inches of lift because as it is my tires rub on the fender flares.

where did you get the $1200 from? You can order the rough country 2.5" lift for 500 bucks with every thing you need. Body lifts are ugly.

I agree rusted mounts are a pain. I have a 95 in Ohio and just fixing body rust meant I had to tackle 3 mounts. Everyone of them broke. Luckily 2 of them where in a place that as so rusted I had to rebuild the mount. So the nut side just fell out. The third I had to cut the area out in order to get to the nut. Then rebuild the mount after installing new bolt.
