lockright in dana 30

So I have had my lockright in my Dana 30 for about 3000 miles now. I usually only go 4 wheeling once a week. Its a rough 10 mile trail. My lockright has never poped or made any noise untilled recently. The last time i went out that thing was popping a lot. It seemed like every time i applied torque to the front wheels it would pop once. I recently changed the gear oil in it and made sure nothing was visiolly wrong with it. I did notice some play in the lockright but it had a lot when i put it in brand new.... one question. Is the popping normall and also, the lockright didn't come with the centerpin and i just used the one that came with the Jeep. Is it possible its not a hardened center pin? It almost looked like it might have been wearing a groove into the pin were it rides in between the locker.

I ran one in my front 30 as well. Never had a sound you are hearing. On the road on a slow right turn I would get some racheting as the teeth ran past each other, but no popping sounds. Might need to pull it and check it out.

Hmmm that's weird. Maybe my springs are worn out .... they shouldn't be. I just Quentin wheeling tonight and it really only pops when I'm crawling up something with my wheels cranked left or right. But it still pooped when I was going up a ledge. One wheel came off the ground and it whent pop, pop pop , and then locked up. My wheeled were strait when this happened.
