Don't know yet. Probably around 4,500. Depends on what else I have to fix.

Just an update, bolted the transmission up today, most everything went well. the bellhousing lined up great. the slave cylinder and crank position sensor bolted right up. now i just need to find a tranny mount that will work. gotta go back to the junkyard and search. hopefully get more done tomorrow.

Just an update if anyone is interested. went this past weekend and picked up a transmission mount, spare tire mount, and some other things. Drove the jeep for the first time today. runs great for a 4 cyl. So far, really no issues with the trans install, still need to install the transfer shifter, top off all the fluids, and double check the slave cylinder, it kinda sounds like the throwout bearing is riding on the pressure plate. I went with a 13.5 inch rear driveshaft, but it still may be about .5 inch too long.

I know this is a older post but.. Think about these Jeeps.. AMC was about bankrupt they used any parts they could make work from Ford.. Chevy..
Im just amazed getting in to these things that Chrysler never update most of this.. Till 1997.. I guess if it works and still sells dont fix it
