lost keys

Im an idiot and somehow lost my keys. I already got the replacements for the door and ignition but I have a hood lock and no spare for that. Am I screwed and have to get a locksmith and have them make a new key? Or drill the lock and buy a new one?

I'd go with whatever's cheapest. I always forget my keys in my ignition. I'm surprised my jeep hasn't been stolen yet.

That must be a Jeep thing, I never forget my keys in my Expedition but am always leaving them in my Jeep.

Honestly, I'd probably go the locksmith route, to avoid getting a new lock. I always forget my keys inside, and lock the door. I end up having to crawl in through the tailgate/hardtop.

If I lock my door and leave my keys in the ignition I just unzip my window from the outside

If you have a number stamped on the lock (most "lower priority locks" like inexpensive lock box locks, file cabinet locks for example will have one) you have two option that are reasonably quick and inexpensive. First, and quickest, is to drive the Jeep to your local lock smith. It's important, because he is going to want to know that the Jeep belongs to you, and you save the cost of having him come to you. He will be able to use the numbers to just cut you new key(s). If you don't take the Jeep, he will likely NOT cut you the key. You're other alternative is to call the manufacturer and give them the number and they will be able to provide you the key, but expect to wait a bit longer.
