making a trailer out of a Jeep?

Has anyone made a trailer out of a jeep rear? We have a 95 wrangler that we are wanting to make into a cool camping/gear/hunting trailer. I want to close in in maybe a solid top, or a soft. Any tips or photos would be much appreciated.

I don't want to get in trouble on this site for referencing another forum but when I was searching out this question I found this thread http://forum.ih8mud.com/trailer-tech...ep-tj-tub.html
I hope it helps.

My buddy on Military Jeepers got a YJ tub converted into a trailer. Looked cool, but wouldn't be that great for towing.

The tub trailer build is awesome, looks better than one of those military M trailers, seems about the same size, and looks fricken nice behind another Jeep. I would be down with that idea, now to just find a doner. Damn, Jeeps are fun. All I need is more money, more space, and more time.

for the top i'd say just make some sort of attachement that is either just a cover or even a little bigger that has tool boxes or a roof rack or that sort of thing.

any pix of Jeep stuff is not a bad pix. There is a YJ at a local yard here, but they won't sell it to me for some legal crap, or just don't want to. The trick would be to go to the auction whre the junkyard go, to bid on the wrecks. Prob find a great doner wrangler for a project as this.

Progress.

Cleared and cut in two. Framed in front and made tounge. Nothing was much of a prob so far. Cut door bottoms off front half to use on top of trailer to keep the body line. Ill address the nasty axle at some point. So far 100.00 invested. Jeep was 600.00 that we parted out for spares. My computer is acting like a motha F er so if you have any questions or ideas feel free to let me know.

the pic with the grinder shows a hole cut out on the floor. This is where the drive shaft ran. I cut the hump out so i can make it flat. This place will be a closed in box. where the floor steps down and to the front of the trailer will be one big box with a lid. This is prob hard to understand sorry, ill just show you when i get there.
