Modded YJ debating shackles or not. Advice Please

My current setup:

-4" susp lift (unsure brand)
-1" body lift
-1" motor mount lift
-SYE
-Ford 8.8 rear
-custom driveshaft
-stainless brake lines
-34" Wangler M/Ts

I read the JF faq, but wanted to see what you guys think of them. Are these a waste of money? any help or advice will be appreciated! Thanks

Are you trying to fit larger tires? If not it would be a waste, it will not add ground clearance without tire size change. However it will be taller if that's all you want.

Booms would be nice. On a YJ, the Boomerang shape helps the shackle clear the rear cross member if the shackle is swung up high during compression. Help shackle inversion.

Waste of money? No. And I don't think swapping shackles outright is a bad idea as it is. The stock shackles are pretty weak. Even if you don't get lift shackles I'd say grab a set of MORE booms. Incredibly better and they're pretty cheap too.

I was looking at a set of 3/4" lift boomerang shackles for the front and back. My buddy told me that putting lift shackles on makes the vehicle very unstable around turns...Not sure how an additional 3/4" could change the ride...what do you think?

I have 1" booms from RC and love em!! So much more flex and the ride is awesome, not a darn bit of instability at all. I recommend them to everyone that asks.No if ands or buts about it. Get em

Lift shackles only begin giving you problems when you're at an 1"+. They throw your caster too far out of whack and make death wobble and bump steer a greater threat. Plus the stress that they put on the frame mounts during severe flex can be damaging as well.

I have 5/8ths shackles on mine and couldn't be happier. I wouldn't personally go any higher (and I understand there are some that will disagree with that), but they are great for what they're worth. Handling manners are still exactly the same.

Im not bashing anyone here guys never even try to, but my shackles changed nothing in forms of alignment, in fact the only thing that changed was the height of my jeep. My alignment is perfect, my ride is perfect, my lift is perfect it just aint runnin perfect right now lol. MAP sensor lol! If yur jeep has a death wobble or is unstable something is wrong or worn an needs inspected and replaced asap.
