Motor mount and bell housing.

Hey guys I need some help can't figure out what size socket to use on the motor mount and bell housing bolts. Both 11/16" and 18mm fit snug. Problem is only some of my 11/16" sockets fit... Not all of them. Seems strange but it could just be the dirt. But I didn't think it would be a metric size either. What size do I use. I don't wanna round these heads off! Thanks for the help.

I am sorry but can't help you, all I know is that these damn jeeps have both metric and sae bolts on them. I seem to recall that I used sae on the motor mounts..and the bell has different sizes too but I think all those are metric..

How did you guys get the very top bell housing Bolts out? I removed the shift cover from the inside and they are still in a position that I can't turn a wrench? What tool did you use?

i was able to do it through the shift cover. did you remove both panels or just the smaller one? you need to remove both.

also, they are not a hex head IIRC.

Yea I have the big shift cover off.

I think I just need a longer extension for my breaker bar.

All of my bolts are 18mm including the top.
