My 1st thought would be starter relay or auto shut down relay. They both work in unison of each other. If the motor is turning over but not firing, try the auto shut down relay. And if its not turning over try the starter relay.

Both relays are in the power center under the hood, in front of the battery (at least on my '92).

There is a PDC (power distribution center) under the hood, mounted just in front of the battery.

Both of the relays are in this.

Hey guys.....all relays ignition, fuel pump and starter are good. I still cans seem to get it to start up.
I put a plug wire on an old spark plug and set it on the motor.... I got a spark, but its weak and yellow instead of blue. What else can it be...???

If you have spark while cranking, and it starts and runs fine with a push start the coil may not be getting full voltage when cranking. Check the voltage at the coil while cranking, versus just key on. It could be a bad ground cable or positive feed cable that prevents the battery power from getting to the ECM and distributor when cranking electrical load is applied.

thanks for the help guys.... But could it be a crankshaft positioning sensor ( cps )... Causing it not to start while cranking..?

Yes, the CPS will prevent it from starting. Sometimes I have found that the blocks on the flywheel get dirty from oil and clutch dust and the CPS wont read them. Had that happen the other day. Installed a new CPS and still didn't run. Cleaned each of those blocks and it fired right up.

But, if the CPS were bad, it shouldn't run if you bump start it either.

I would check the voltage at the coil, like it was previously stated. The spark should be a bright blue if its working correctly. Once you get it running with a bump start, it's fine?, running wise?
