mystery rocker switch

Hello Everyone. Just bought a 91wrangler, refitted alot of ways by previous owner. 1. There is a rocker switch just to right of steering column and I cant find out what it does..anyone knows? 2. Gauge lights does not work..totally dark at night. Should I replace switch panel which controls headlights? This swich panel also has a thumb selector for the gauge lights...high to low. Thanks for any help....

if its a stock switch it could be fog lights, rear window wiper or rear defroster.

A lot of guys use this area for lockers, winch, air comp. or aux light switch.

Check the bulbs and the fuse before replacing switch for lights.

1. Got pics? That switch could be used for ANYTHING! Without seeing it, there could be endless possibilities.

2. Which gauges have no light? I don't really think the year or engine much matter in this wiring, but it would be helpful just in case.

Hmmm...while those are well labeled, we are still no closer to helping the OP.

mystery rocker switch

Morning All. Aunt Flow helped out, and I plan to have the switch pulled to track it. This forum is helpful and I will stop playing with switch to help kmanator!

If yours is like my '91 Wrangler, those switches were for the rear window defroster and wiper, as mine originally came with a hard top. Do you have full doors?
