new guy needs advice

OK so I just bought myself a 94 yj with the 2.5 4 cyl in it. it has a rebuit top end ie the head has been replaced with a rebuilt one and new gaskets. I brought it home and it sounded like the exhuast was leaking pretty bad so I replaced the exaust from the manifold back with stock stuff.

It still has a bit of a rattle to it when I start releasing the clutch from a stop. I believe i have a bad moter mount but whe I was under the truck last night I did notice that I could push on the transfer case rear output and the whole thing would move about 1/2"-1" frome side to side and the torque arm bushings are pretty loose. I was just wondering if anyone has any advice on anything else I should check while I am replacing transmission mount and left motor mount.

and does anyone know what size all thread I sloud use to replace the torque arm assembly all I can find is the bushings and actually the bushings looked fine just loose so I was thinking about just reusing them.

Fluid Levels, you might as well see if the Clutch or brakes need bleeding.
Check the U-joints on the front and rear drive shafts.
Grease every fitting you can find, front drive shaft, U-joints if they have them, etc.
Check for rust under the floorboard and on the frame.

Might as well check that all your lights work as intended.

Ok changed the motor mount and tranny mountboth were shot it runs quite abit better and now I can hear clicking in the steering when turning. Anybody know what that is? i'm thinking it is one of the front u-joints. Also gonna try changing the master cylinder for the clutch it drives fine but it is hard to get into first and reverse from a stop. also gonna prob due plugs wires cap and rotor today seeing as the head and head gasket was just replaced.

How tight is the steering? if it has play in it, it might be the steering shaft U-joints. you can check those easily y just grabbing the steering shaft in the engine compartment and seeing if the U-joints are sloppy.

While you are down there I would check the end joints on the Tie rod and make sure that isn't loose.

Trying to give you the easy access stuff to look at first.

ok the tune up and engine flush helped tremendously with the engine noise and rough idle. The master and slave cylinder are new and bled out but the clutch is still stiff in first and reverse, please help does this mean I need to change out the clutch. haven't checked into the steering click yet but will tonight it is just about ready to be my daily driver. Furthermore while I was changing the front bumper I oticed the driverside shackle was sticking out further than the passenger so I eed to redo that leafspring I think.
