Hi everybody,

Just happened to stumble across this forum, and thought it would be fun to join. I had a 1994 Jeep Wrangler a few years back, and I loved it. Unfortunately it was totaled in a hit and run accident. I bought a truck after that, but I have missed owning a jeep ever since...and I probably will buy another one soon.

Doing some research recently, I've kind of noticed that the newer jeeps (1997-present) seem too modernized. If you look at the dash of a 1994 jeep and a newer one there's a huge difference. I love the old cockpit-like look of older wranglers. I've never driven a newer one, so I shouldn't talk too much...I'm just going by appearance. Anybody else feel this way? Also, which years seem to be the favorites among jeep owners?

thanks

i'll agree that the pre-tj wranglers are definitely more rugged and unfinished than tjs are since they switched to coil springs, etc and made it more driver friendly....however, if you can easily make a tj rougher so it doesn't seem so soccer-mom-like.
