91 6cyl. Having some serious buyers remorse for no apparent reason. Picked it up in Portland yesterday and drove back to Seattle without a hitch (except it didn't come with doors so I froze my arse off).
only thing is, it seems the clutch needs to be held down for a second before shifting or it sometimes grinds a little, anyone know if its just an adjustment (clutch doesn't slip)? Other than that help me forget my buyers remorse!!!!!

It sounds like an adjustment not a big problem that you should be questioning your entire choice to buy. I also got a 90 6cyl a few weeks ago, my first wrangler, but i have had 4 XJ's (which have same engine and trans). The main thing to remember is this is a Jeep not a Porsche, it may not always be the smoothest ride, but in 6in of snow youll still get home. Welcome to the Jeep family!

Sounds like a simple clutch adjustment. As for the rest... well, Jeepin' is a lifestyle .. some things you just gotta get used to.

Buyer's remorse for buying a Jeep? I have owned 4 CJ's and now have a YJ and the only remorse I have ever felt was seller's remorse.

check the clutch fluid on the firewall first. It uses brake fluid, sometimes you just need to add a little bit and pump it up.

and Welcome!

Cool, guess I was a bit nervous cause I bought it without knowing much about jeeps, so far everything looks good except for a few bouncing gauges, and some dirt . Anyway can't wait for summer when I get time to clean it up go exploring! Here's a pic, has new flowmaster exhaust and u- something or others/shocks and the rear end blew out a day before I bought it so it was just rebuilt. and yah its white, but I like white!
