New tires?

What would be the largest rim width and tire size i could go with on a factory 95 Wrangler Sahara without installing a lift kit?

I was hoping for a 15x10 rim size.

BTW this is a daily driver with no off roading. (at least not for awhile)

From all the posts here even 33x1250x15's are going to run on 15x8's. Why would you want to run 15x10's? Not going to do it on a stock YJ.

Ive been contemplating getting some rims as well as a new set of treads. I like the deep well look but I dont want to go with some overly large tires.

Also im not understanding the whole inch rating on tires? How come tires arent measured like 225/75-15?

Look at some of the other threads. Scout and others have posted links to conversion charts.

Because that is metric, they are usually oddball sizes.

I did some looking around and if i did it correctly then if i went with 265/75/15 that would equate to a 31x10.5 tire size on the stock aluminum rims which i assume are 15x8.

Tires do still come in "P" Metric sizes like the example you've shown...you don't necessarily have to buy "P" Metric tires however. If you want 31x10.5's, get 'em. Just make sure you buy them to fit your rims. I don't believe you'll be able to fit that size tire on a stock YJ though. Especially on a stock rim with 5" of backspacing. You might get them to fit under your fenders, (barely...depending on the condition of your springs), on flat ground. But any flexing at all and you'll be in your flares. And as for the rims, in turns you'll be rubbing your springs. Throw a 2" BBL under there and a set of rims with a little more of a negative offset and you'll get by. Or 1" BBL and 1" shackles, or 2" springs, etc...

P.S. 15x10 rims are gonna stretch 10.5 width tires and make 'em look like beach balls! Ha Ha...
