Hey Cliff, welcome to the forum. For the sap removal, most auto parts stores have tar/bug remover type products which should assist with the sap problem. Your YJ looks nice from the pics. What are the details of it? Auto/manual? 4cyl or 6? Good luck with the project.

Jeff

hi Jeff
the wrangler is a 5 speed 6 cyl fI with only 36000 on the spedo. Found enough
docs to prove it . Got it running , past smog so now on with the elbow grease.
HAVE TRIED ALL KINDS OF CHEMICAL CLEANERS, the neighbor said he took
some off with finger nail polish remover. Guess what it works. Nothing else
would touch the dried sap. used the nail polish remover and a teflon stick
seem most of the sap came off . But left alot of marks in the paint, so
now the buffing and cleaning.
thanks , will post pictures as it improves !!!!

Only 36K on the speedo. That thing should be cherry. Great find. What part of CA are you located in.

Congrats... 36k? Awesome. Probably no rust, too?
