Unhappy Newbie here. Got my first Jeep earlier this year

Hey all! I need some help. I have a 94 YJ mostly stock, no lift etc. It's my daily driver up until recently I had to take it to a weld shop today to get the rear frame plated....SUCKS but o well. I love the thing! Anyhow on the way to the shop the steering was all screwed up (fyi: jeeps been sitting for 3 weeks waiting on inspection after frame gets fixed) anyway the problem was everytime I tried to turn right I had to use 2 hands to turn the wheel and everytime I turned to the left I barely had to touch the wheel to turn it. So after I dropped it off at the shop for the frame I called a friend to look at the steering after the frame is done. Does anyone on here have any ideas of what may be causing this problem or has anyone had it happen to their Jeep before. I don't know much about Jeeps in general and I don't want the repairs to nickel and dime me just trying to figure it out...THANKS. sorry for a long first post

Yeah the steering box was my first thought even though I'm not mechanically inclined (just from reading other posts). The thought of the steering being messed up irritates me because it can be so many things. I'm just worried and missing my Jeep. Thanks for the reply and the warm welcome!
