Oil Leak!! Please Help

I have a 91 with 130K and yesterday, after coming back out of Wal-mart noticed a huge puddle of oil under my jeep, went home and parked and could actually see it dripping off the leaf spring, I just cant tell where it is coming from, there is oil all over the distributer and dipstick, anyone ever see this? (valve cover is dry) it almost looks like its coming from the dipstick? any help would be greatly appreciated.

My only suggestion is to check the Oil Filter, could have worked its way loose.

Are you sure it is engine oil. May be power steering fluid. Kinda hard to get engine oil on top of your leaf springs, unless your fan is blowing it all up under your hood. Either way, a little detective work will let you know exactly where it is coming from. May have even lost a seal on your axle.

Also check your oil psi sending unit. That was the MAJOR cause
of our oil leaks. The diaphragm had ruptured and oil was flowing
allll over the side of the block. It is located ahead of the distributor, you will need a special socket avail at your parts store. At least that was the cause of our leak. Hope that it helps

OK Im going to revisit this one. I also had a puddle under the jeep tonight, oil on the Passanger side leaf spring. Dad and I drove the jeep to the gas station for gas, didnt sound right?
Put 3 qts in and then discovered a HOLE in the oil filter that lines up with the motor mount. =OOPS. Problem solved

WELLL. They told us at the local 4wheel drive shop that the filter HIT the motor mount. Wont do that again. Oh by the way
the motor mount is about 1-1/4" away.

Motor should not move that much. I busted my oil filter off when I hit a solid object head-on and broke a motor mount, There is no way it should hit during normal........or offroad driving. Check that out. Sounds like bad/busted motor mount.

Thanks NY94YJ. I had the mechanic at the local 4WD shop
check it out, he is the one that found my mystery oil leak. It would only spew under pressure. Said mounts were ok. Didnt
sound right that the motor could move 1-1/4"??

1-1/4 seems like a hell of a lot of flex for a motor mount

WELL........Went to SILVER LAKE to run the sand dunes sunday.
Made the first dune after several attempts, down the backside.
WHACK *%!!#####** = $$$. Not only did the motor mount,(the one that was checked) break, BUT it is missing in action
as well as half of the mount comming off the block. It should be out of the shop by wednesday. Looking for an armored oil filter, maybe 7GA. or 1/4" plate. (JUST kidding).
