Oil Pick up - Recall

I called the dealer and found out there is a recall for the " Oil pick up tube " on my 94 YJ - 2.5L auto .... Should I worry about that? what does that pick up tube do? Just worried about making any unnecessary changes, my Jeep is running great right now so... you know what happens when you mess with old cars. I would appreciate any info =)

i say do it. the oil pick up is the very first thing the oil touches, without it, no oil goes to anything. so very important part, if it fails your engine will be junk in less than a minute.
