Ole Red!

I bought this 95 yj a couple weeks ago. I looked at a bunch before I decided on this one, which is 100% rust free, living in Ohio is unheard of. The jeep lived it's whole life in Arizona so this is its first winter seeing the dreaded salt. Since buying it, I've picked up new front dash Speakers, a marine amp to run those and my sound bar, a best top instatrunk, a new rear bumper, smittybilt gear seat cover and overhead console, and a RC 4"lift. So as soon as this weather breaks I got some work to do. Any suggestions or comments are welcomed.

Nice Find!!!

That really looks like a great platform to start with. Being from upstate New York I know what you mean about the "Dreaded Salt". My advice would be to read, read and read some more of the build threads on this and other forums. There are some pretty impressive builds here. Then just get ready to spend some more money and have allot of fun with it. Remember "research" is your friend. I'm doing my first Jeep build, an 88 YJ, and have sometimes put the cart before the horse on some things. I'm just thinking out loud here and of course that's just my two cents. So have fum and welcome to the YJ family...Gunny Out!!

Installed new dash Speakers today, luckily the po had the speakers held in by bolts just running through the dash so it was easy peazy. I didn't want my NE Speakers pressed up against the dash though so I invented this (see picture) the bolts just run thorough the dash with nuts on yhe other end

I have known I was going to buy one for awhile I just had to find the right one. So as I found parts cheap on craigslist I bought them. Alot of them I had before I had the jeep.

You've got yourself a really nice base to start with. Be sure to start a build thread so we can watch the change!

Finally got the 4 inch lift done, it was slow going but it got done in the driveway by just me and hand tools. Kinda proud of the way it came out.
