???on lift

I have a suspension lift that puts my at 3.5" and it came with drop pitman arm and t-case drop. I just purchased 1.25" shackles (lift is 1.25") should i be looking to buy a SYE or anything else for that matter to make things run smooth?

Try it and see. Each individual jeep is different, but I would say be ready to order that SYE ASAP cuz chances are your going to need it. You might want a CV shaft too.....hint hint.

and are you sure you need an extra 1.5'' of lift to run 30'' tires?

if you plan on getting bigger tires.. just wait to do the shackle lift until you get the tires, and also got enough money to get a sye..

you'll want to install the shackles then measure for correct driveshaft lenght.. so after you install them.. be prepared to not drive your jeep for a week or however long it takes to get the driveshaft

35s arent small tires =p

plus your jeep was already lifted before you got the tires =p not vice versa

imo id just wait to add the shackles until i got bigger tires.. no need for 5'' of lift on stock tires =p

nope didnt see it...

i ran my jeep with 3'' of lift and 31s for about 6 months.. it didnt look toooo bad =p

my 31s were pretty much bald.. and brand new only measured 30.2'' so im guessing they were around 29.75'' before i replaced them

Im going to be buying 33x12.5 when my Mt's get low or if i come across a good deal it will happen sooner. i just bought the shackles cuz i got a set of WP shackles for 30 bucks. When i was putting in the lift i cut the rear shackles a little trying to cut the bolts out cuz we know how much fun those bolts can be. so i needed new shackles anyway. My personal opinion i like a good amount of space between my tire and fender but thats just me.

once you go over 3.5 you're gonna want to do sye. and you are just as at risk, if not more of having a problem on the road, than off. everyone thinks its only when you flex.

have a buddy get in your jeep, and watch the rear drive shaft as he pops the clutch. the pinion will jump. hard accel, forward or revers and you could pop it out.

i ran a 4" lift w/ 1.5" shackles with no SYE for about 8 months, then i sold my rig. but it did run fine with no problems. if i kept it my next move was gonna be an SYE.
