Painting / Drilling Question for YJ

I am new here so please bare with me.

I currently have a 94 Wrangler YJ which I am modifying. I recently bought some Durabak paint (which is truck bed liner paint) that I am planning to paint the exterior and interior (Yellow and black on the exterior and black on the interior).

The plan is to pull all the carpet, and paint the inside to make it water proof.

My question for you guys is:

1- Has anyone used this paint on a Jeep? If so do you like the results?
2- Where is the proper place to drill holes in the interior to help with proper water drainage?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I used it on the inside of my YJ about 8-9 years ago. It is a trail rig thats not used to often. The Durabak is still in good condition inside though it faded after a couple of years. I sanded the tub very well and coated it with 2 coats of good epoxy primer first. I can not suggest using this product on the out side of a rig. It will fade fairly quickly and is hard to keep clean like paint due to its rough texture. I do like it inside.
Good luck on your project

drain holes are already there under the carpet, there's plugs that will most likely need to be removed.

I have lined a utility trailer inside and out with this stuff, and it still looks pretty good. For the exterior, make sure you use the UV resistant stuff. Do you plan to roll or spray it on? Rolling doesn't look so good w/ the smooth on vertical surfaces, it tends to run a little, leaving a slightly droopy look. I put on several coats over a warm day and it eventually turned out pretty good.
