Performance off road

Hey I am wondering how much money to invest into my wrangler. Its a 95 4cyl so the power is a little on the low side. So my question is how does a 4cyl handle off road? If anyone has been to uwharrie how did it handle? Or should I save up and find a 6cyl.

i used to instruct off road driving to "city slickers". we used 2.5 with automatics and a performance chip. it would do anything the 6cylinder rigs would do. the ability and knowlege of the driver is as important at the jeeps ability and or power.

the chip helps the performance on the highway a lot without any really noticable decrease in milage.
