I have the smoked markers and front blinkers on my TJ, got them from ebay. Love the way they look and work. Smoked my rears with VHT cause I didn't want them black... HTH.

I knew you'd be the first to answer this as soon as I saw the title. Then I looked to see who the last poster was...

It's really called vht nightshades, it's a black paint but it's mixed with clear an red. So when you light up your taillights you can easily still see them

No red in my Nightshades, just transparent black.....

If you can do the insides of the lenses, they will hold up better and look more factory than if you do the outsides. And keep in mind when you're spraying to stop before they look dark enough, they will look darker mounted, than they do laying on newspaper...

Yes. I only did one light coat and there completly black. But are still pretty visible. Ive always heard they have red in them. Because if you spray it on headlights it makes them pink

Are you suggesting to do the inside of clear plastic or the factory red? Will it have the same effect on the inside of the red as it will on the outside?

Both. It will have the same effect. I've done several vehicles with it. It works well, just be cautious with it. It looks much darker when you mount in that dark hole, rather than laying on nice bright newspaper... Much easier to add more if you think you need it than to remove it and start over. If you do the exterior of the lenses, clear coat them to restore the shine and factory appearance, and protect them somewhat.

As to the red in it, I never noticed it. Maybe it's there. I never did headlights. I like being able to see at night.

Here's a pic of my tails that I did. I didn't want them dark, just wanted them to blend with the paint on my Jeep. Did the inside of the lenses, since they're easy on a TJ...
