I am currently getting 21mpg with a 2.5in lift, 33x12.5 MT's, stock gearing, 5 speed, bikini top, no rear seat, and no spare! Can anyone beat that?!?!

When it didn't have 32" tires on it and the engine was 100,000 miles younger, my 4 banger used to get 20mpg highway. It had to get that much because I would drive 70 miles round trip a day to college and I couldn't afford to get any less mpgs lol.

Now I get like 16 mpg highway, haven't figured out town/city miles yet but I'm sure it's dreadful.

I usually drive on the highway 55-65mph nothing over that. I do about 75% highway driving and then 25% city this isn't including any off road driving. People always ask how to get better mpg's in a jeep when I think it just comes down to how you drive it...I drive a little slower and enjoy the drive, pretty much shift under 2k, and it seems to work great. I have 157,000 miles on my 4.0L...still runnin strong!

x2! I never really get going faster than 60MPH. And I've only taken her on the interstate a few times. Just don't like to push her that hard. I have the same mentality and I always shift under 2K as well.

I have a 4.2L, OLD (pre-stepper motor) Carter carb, stock gearing with 33's and I average about 15-18 on the Highway (I HAVE gotten 20 before - but that was on a roadtrip with the wind to my back the whole time). In town - probably around 12-15... But I drive like an old man MOST of the time. There have been times that I've driven her like a mad man and averaged around 10..
