Hey guys I'm new to this forum, I just got my first jeep a 93 yj 5 speed with a inline 6 lifted on 33. I'm having issues when I make a sharp right turn I hear a loud pop and don't know where its coming from. Has anyone ever had this issue. What is it I should be looking at. What are the common problems that can cause this before I start pulling stuff apart, I'm hoping its a easy and cheep fix, any information would be appreciated.... Thanks
Your talking a major heavy assembly and key player to making the jeep move so the middle of your driveline assembly trans and transfer case will move at will
changed out all the u joints and tranny mount, still have the popping under pressure, I noticed it coming from my rear driveline, I seen the driveline skipping under pressure, could this be my rear differential causing this
no im running 33s on a 4 inch lift, theres enough clearance, what looks like is happening is the driveline is slipping, that's whats causing the pop, im not sure if its a differential problem
Spider gears in the rear differential are probably bad. They only really rotate when turning and if it under load you probably have a few damaged teeth, soon to get worse.

I had a vibration without the drop with a 2" lift. I would imagine a 4" lift without one would be a lot worse than just a vibration. WICruiser is right you should pull your diff cover off and check out the inside. Take some pics and post them.
