Possible PCM issues on my 95 YJ

Is it possible my PCM would cause my YJ to miss spuraticlly and for my engine to die ocassionally while driving? I have heard of flashing the computer, what does that do.

my neighbor had the same problem. we took out the pcm and cleaned all of the connector pins. also cleaned all the pins on the harness side of the connector. it's been a year now with no problems. oh yeah, a little dielectric grease on the pins before reconnecting is always a good idea.
