Quadratec Winches

What is your opinion on the Q series Winch? Not the Competition series or the S series but the regular Q series winch? They are a great price and the specs are right there with the rest of the winches on the market... Any opinions?

I have the 9500i synthetic and I'm happy with it, but lets be honest, it's still a Chinese winch. If you rarely use it and have friends along if it decides not to work you'll be fine. If you need it a lot or go off on your own it may be wise to get a Warn. Although I've heard Warn is buying parts for a few of theirs in China so who knows?

I bought a used Warn M8000 for the cost of a new Chinese winch, and am much happier.

Ramsey Winch is the best in the business. Made in Tulsa, OK. Be advised you WILL pay for it.

Here's what happens to a cheap winch when you leave it exposed to the elements. Never submerged, had 5 light duty utility pulls on it (no stucks). This is from rain/carwash.
