Rampage soft top.

Hi guys, a conundrum.
When I bought my 89 YJ last winter it came with a hardtop (on it) and a softtop (in a bag). I put the softtop on it a couple of weeks ago. The PO told me he bought the top last fall and only used it for about a month before he put the hardtop back on it. This is my first Jeep with a hardtop. The softtop is a Rampage and is okay. My old TJ had a Bestop and my JK had the OEM softtop. Both seem like they were superior to the Rampage, although I can't really find anything wrong with the Rampage.
I am considering trying to sell the Rampage and use that money (and put more with it) to buy a Bestop Supertop or NX.
Although the Rampage seems fine my concern is how long will that last (right now it's still pretty much new)? Are they fairly good quality?
Or will it start falling apart on me in the near future?
Also, the frame is good and tight, doesn't rattle at all, but again, I'm wondering how long that'll last.
Anyone have any experience with them?
For the interest of full disclosure, I prefer softtops. My plan is to run a softtop this winter to see if it doable for me. If it works-out I'll sell the hardtop later.
Suggestions?
Thanks guys.

Hey someone used my post! I know this is a old post so I don't know what all you've decided but here's my input

I've had the top for close to a month right now. So far its seen 70-105 degree weather. I have rolled it back twice. It has also seen a couple heavy rain storms. The frame is great and holds real tight under high winds (20 mph winds going 60 mph into it).

In my opinion I'd stick with the rampage as Mine has held up great against some dreaded weather so far. I have yet to experience any fading or stretching, even in this extreme heat which has really appealed to me as one of my buds with the bestop had experienced stretching within the first two weeks of ownership and fading around 5 months. If you want to keep a eye on my review post I'll continue to be updating it throughout the life of the top.

I appreciate both Jak_Rak and Peacester's help.
But.
We're supposed to have heavy rain move into the area today so yesterday afternoon I began to put my soft top up. And I found a problem.
On the passenger side sail panel the stitching has come loose from the hard plastic piece that folds under the rail. It appeared that if I pulled on it to slide it under the rail it would have probably come completely undone.
I'll give Rampage a chance to make it right but have low expectations seeing I am not the OP.
If they won't do anything I guess I'll try to sell it and point out the spot.
I've also considered sewing it with fishing line, seen my father do this to tents.
Any other suggestions?
