rear yj recovery points ?

my jeep is all stock with just the generic rear hitch and bumperettes. is there a place to add recovery points or rear tow hooks (like a jeep tj) . i do not want to change to a new bumper. any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated .

If you have a reciver then you can buy te hook that goes in there or the d-ring setup for it and some rear bumpers are only like 150 to 200 for a smittybuilt thats what im running

I installed two hooks one on each side, on the rear frame just infront of my spring shackles at an angle so when I am towing some one out the tow strap will not rub on the bumperets. hope this helps

I drilled the holes, for a 1/2 bolt witch I taped the threads into the frame, but my frame was thick enough to do that, ( no rust at all ) so you need to check the frame for rust, you don't want to hook up and pull your frame apart.

If the frame is good, I think a good tripple pass weld would work great.

If you have a receiver you can have a hook or D-ring setup like this made.
