Red 4wd Vacuum Line

I have bypassed my 4wd vacuum system by flipping my actuator upside down as a temporary (posilok) fix. Gotta have 4wd when I need it. But I would actually like to fix the vacuum system. The red vacuum line from the tc is cut off right under the battery. And I think this is my main problem and the reason there is no vacuum. Where exactly does the red vacuum hook up to the engine to create vacuum?

It originates on the intake manifold. T into your heater and the main should continue to the T case.

The only vacuum line coming off the intake (that I can see) runs to and connects to something right under the distributer. Distributer advance vacuum maybe? And there is no t connecter in the line.
