Removing the upper half of doors?

This is my 1st post to the forum- just bought a 1990 wrangler (6cyl, 4.2l) that has a soft top and 1/2 doors. I've owned a jeep in the past ('92 wrangler), but that one had hard doors- anyway my question is this: How do you get the top windo part of the door off? I searched the forum for an answer, but couldn't find anything- prolly just too easy

welcome to the forum. there's a snap on one side of the bottom edge, then the bottom edge pulls out of the lip, just like the soft top pulls out of the lower track. then just pull up and the three posts slide out of the door.

"The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency. It will be far easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president."

my top piece fits so tight that i had to, ever so gently, bend the door outward to get the snap undone and the bottom edge out of the track. eventually you will learn all the little tricks for your own jeep. have fun and welcome to the only place for real jeep enthusiasts(sp).

I ran a search, but nothing came up- I really try not to post a question without poking around the forum for a while. I guess I need to get used to the ins and outs of searching on these boards...
Thanks for the help & welcome!
I'm totally psyched to get back in a Jeep (just in time for summer, too!)
