Renegade going under the knife

Finally got my gf's YJ back running, it turned out the fuel pump was fried.

But anyways, it was in a front end accident and the Renegade front fenders/flares were scrap. Turns out it cost a fortune to replace with the renegade parts SOO we just used regular yj parts.

Everything on the doors and rear quarters is fine, but it looks goofy and is coming off. Not looking forward to it as the few threads I have read about it say it takes 4+ hours.

We feel bad, actually like the renegade look but still have to get it painted and that will cost enough already

Will probably be up for sale in the classifieds soon enough.

Oh, and what do you guys think is the best/correct way to fill the holes. I know the easy way is bondo.

How it looks now:

If you want to keep the look PM...Ibuildembig.
I believe he's mentioned he has Renegade parts.

Owning a Renegade means being "Different"!

I had the normal base YJ step, and used a small amount of bondo, then covered it with a black.

Kind of hard to see, but this is the end result, with 6" E-bay flares.

I may look into what it would take to get it back to renegade but selling it is not going to happen. It was my gf's first vehicle and she just got it back on the road. (Her dad wanted her to have a fuel efficient car for college) Then it sat because her sister hit a pole. Lets just say she is attached to it.

I have spent more than a few of out hottest days this year getting that thing running again and ready to pass the inspection. Sitting for a while let all sorts of gremlins creep in

Also, from my research, it would cost about as much as she plans on spending to get it painted as to get the renegade fenders, mounts, hardware and "fender extensions"
