say hi to my new toy

recently got this for free from my cousin. its a 95 4 cyl 5 speed. its been beat on pretty badly and im looking for some ideas for someone on a budget.. and by budget i mean im broke and looking for ideas to up power and lift a little bit for cheap. yes i already know that this hobby isnt cheap at all but im only looking for an inch or 2 without having to have a lot of down time also. the wiring harness for my O2 sensor has been ripped apart. any idea on how to figure out wich wire goes where?
oh and heres my jeep

hey, thats a great deal. i wish someone would give me one. anywho, your first priority if you want a little lift is put some shackles on it since you're on a budget. looks like those tires are 31". shackles will give you a little room in those fenders. nice jeep, enjoy

would i need to modify anything? like brake lines, driveshaft, or lower the transfercase? and can i just make new shackles out of the same thickness or thicker metal? and would that coupled with a 1 or 2 inch body lift nessesitate any other mods right away? also, my ckeck engine light was on for my O2 senser not being hooked up. the other day i found a little box on the floor of my jeep on the drivers side, its about an inch to an inch and a quarter in length, about a half an inch wide and about a half an inch deep. (pic below) the wire or wires were corroded and had broken off. now i have no CEL on but the senser is still not hooked up. also when i turn the acc on the light doesnt flash. is that related? also whats that box called?
