Seat Rearranging

Ok, curious to know if anyone has tried this before. The kids a getting a little bigger and don't fit so well in the bench seat any longer. so, i have thought about buying two bucket seats for the back of the 92yj and removing the bench seat. figuring they wouldn't fit where the bench was, i was planning on setting one behind the passsenger seat facing BACKWARD for extra leg room, and installing the other one behind the driver seat near the tail gate but face it FORWARD. yes, it would look a little strange, but i think it just may work? anyone else ever tried something like this or have any experience in replacing the bench with buckets? any thoughts or suggestions here would be great. thanks!

In my 92 I took the brackets that mount the seat and moved them back one hole. When you look at the bracket theres two holes in the body for the bracket. The front hole on the bracket I moved to the rear hole on the body and just drilled some new holes for the rear part of the bracket. It moved it back 4 or 5 inches creating more leg room.

There is a build thread on the forum that shows the owner changing out his rear bench for buckets. I will see if I can find it and post a link. I know it's here somewhere.
