Serp belt

I did my serp belt recently, and its squeels on start up. Sometimes just for a few seconds, and other times for a couple of minutes. I put it on by just unbolting my alternator, and putting the belt on. So i don't think its too loose..?

Any other ideas? I don't want to put a belt dressing on it.

If it's new, make sure that it's still snug. Might need tightening after a while, like anything new. But a noisy new belt is common and will go away.

Being it's a serpentine belt, did ou adjust the power-steering pump at all? There are two bolt heads on the back. One on the top and one near the bottom. The bottom is in a slide. Once lose there is a 3rd bolt on the right(from facing front of pump) that moves the pump side to side.

No, I didn't adjust the power steering. I just unbolted the alternator, and put the belt over the pulley then bolted it back up.

Ill try to tighten off the power steering bracket.
Thanks for your help.
