shock reviews

Ok y'all, its about that time. My ride is quite bumpy, and i know a yj will be to comfortable but there are points where my jeep just bounces around and i feel like i might catch air!
but do any of you have any god/bad things to say about specific shocks before i buy?

The best in my book are Bilstein 5100 or Fox. I have the Bilstein on my truck and jeep and won't get any other.

Bought my Bilstein 5100s from KOLAK you can find him here get a quote set of four for four inch lift was $289 delivered. No issues great stuff.

Shop and ask him to commit to a shipped total. See if he can save you a few $$$$.

I run the BDS Hydros and love the ride. They're right around $200 for 4.

I just removed my ProComp shocks and installed Bilstien 5100s and the difference is MAJOR! The Bilsteins are amazing!
The price is high, almost $350 from Summit racing to my door, but well worth it.

This is on a 93 YJ with 4" lift and 33s Dick Cepek mil wrapped springs ( out of production)....

Bad pic of the rears with an 8.8 in the way, the top are inboarded, but you can at least see the Bilsteins on there....

Nope, that's not a stock rear axle, it's a Ford 8.8 Upper mounts are inboarded to keep the length and raise the lower mounting points level with the bottom of the axle tube.

I do need to redo the lowers with a stud and redo the uppers with the Advanced Adaptors shock mount adaptor so they can pivot as the rear moves.
The guy that helped me do the 8.8 swap did it this way while I was working just so I had shocks on it.
