Side Windows

If I remove the rubber strip from around my side windows on my hard top, how hard is it to put them back? Or if I remove them, do I need to get new rubber? My thought is to remove the side windows and back glass so that I have a hard safari top. Is this something I can do easily, (remove and reinstall) or am I just asking for trouble? Any special tool I need to reinstall?

The windows in a YJ hard top are glued in. They don't fit in a rubber channel. The piece that you see on the outside is merely a cosmetic piece to keep dirt out of the opening.
