Soft tops and snow

Ok guys simple question. I've always had a hard top for the winter months and last year I got sick of the process of putting it on and taking it off in the spring. I went ahead and bought a new supertop nx with slider windows for all year usage. My question is the few times it has snowed here with moderate accumulation I have gone out and knocked the snow off the top. Is this something that I need to keep an eye on due to the weight of the snow or am I worrying about nothing? Thanks

Yeah I had heard about that. It's what made me go with the sliding glass door uppers. I'm a smoker so I didn't want to worry about the plastic cracking while unzipping a plastic window

I had a 94 Wrangler with a soft top as my daily driver for years. I never had any issues with snow on the roof. I never wanted to deal with a hardtop. Was I cold on occasion in the winter, yes. Did my factory A/C ever get cold in summer, no. But that was OK with me. It's a Jeep for crying out loud.

I agree with you and I'm going to do the same thing. I'm tired of my hardtop I bought a frameless softtop. I'm gunna keep my full doors though so I don't have to worry about unzipping plastic windows in the winter.
I have heard that the upper slider windows leak like a B**CH in the rain though I guess the seal for the glass was poorly set.
With all the being said another huge reason I'm selling my hard top is cuz it's the wrong one. It's for a TJ. Anyone looking for a hardtop I'm selling it haha

mine have never leaked a drop, that's why I cut my zipper uppers apart and turned them into sliders.

I had a hard top and I don't feel it was any warmer at all. Less noisy....a little but then my soft is as tight as I could want it so flopping is at a minimal. My heater works great and once I get a warm enough day to work on it I plan on fixing a couple more drafts, mainly tub not soft top. I haven't seen a day over freezing sense December so the guys that need a hard top in the south make me laugh a little.
